Project and battle guidelines
Good project profiles make it easier for people to understand what they are comparing. Keep details accurate, specific and easy to scan.
Use a project name, a working website and a short description that explains what it does. Pick the closest category. Do not submit duplicates, placeholder text or claims you cannot support.
For a fair battle, choose projects people can reasonably compare. Ask short, neutral questions that make sense for both. Votes show what people who took part preferred; they do not prove which project is objectively better or guarantee sales, users or feedback. Ready to add a project? Submit it for review.
Community discussions
Only signed-in members can comment on public projects and battles. Keep comments relevant, useful and respectful. Hate speech, harassment, personal attacks, spam and promotional content are not allowed.
Comments are plain text. Links, domain names, email addresses, HTML and disguised links are blocked so discussions cannot be used for backlink promotion. Share a website by submitting a project or starting a battle.
Members can raise a flag when a comment breaks these rules. Three flags from distinct members hide it automatically and send it to the BAATLE admin for review. The admin may restore, hide or remove it. Please flag genuine rule breaches; misuse of reports may lead to account restrictions.
Battle Points
Battle Points recognise useful participation: verified project owners earn 20 points per approved project; custodians of unclaimed approved projects earn 10; a public completed battle with at least three picks earns its creator 5 points (up to three battles per seven days); signed-in voting earns 1 point per question answered (up to 10 per battle); and a comment that remains published and unflagged for seven days earns 1 point (up to two comments per day). Anonymous votes do not earn points, and vote points begin accruing after this system launches. Points can be reversed when activity is invalid or content is removed. They recognise participation; they do not rank expertise or guarantee visibility.
